Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician (Bodyman) to perform high-quality collision repairs, including panel replacement, metal straightening, structural adjustments, and prep work for painting. This role restores vehicles to factory standards while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with modern repair methods, and able to collaborate effectively with estimators, painters, and fellow technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural and non-structural repairs using approved OEM repair methods.
- Remove and replace damaged panels, including doors, bumpers, hoods, quarter panels, and fenders.
- Conduct metal finishing, dent repair, sanding, grinding, and prep work for refinishing.
- Perform light suspension work and minor frame corrections as needed.
- Use welders, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure panel alignment, fitment accuracy, and high-quality finish.
- Communicate repair status with estimators, painters, and management.
- Verify parts received and report discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and time tracking.
- Keep work areas clean and follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional auto body technician experience.
- Experience with spot welders, light suspension repair, and modern vehicle materials (aluminum, HSS, plastics).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- I-CAR training or certification preferred.
- Car-O-Liner experience is a plus.
- Ability to read repair orders, OEM procedures, and vehicle blueprints.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and workmanship skills.
- Bilingual a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crawling.
- Regular use of tools, welding equipment, and body repair machinery.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring close vision, depth perception, and color accuracy.
Work Environment:
- Shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
